Ingredients
  

  • 1 block extra-firm tofu pressed at least 30 minutes and cut into cubes or slabs
  • to taste BBQ Sauce for brushing
  • to taste Cooking spray

Equipment

  • Tofu Press
  • Metal Skewers
  • Grill Pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the tofu on a plate and brush with BBQ Sauce on all sides.
  3. Arrange the tofu pieces in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until browned around the edges.
  5. Flip the tofu, brush with more BBQ Sauce, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve with additional BBQ Sauce, if desired.
  7. For grilling, preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  8. Brush the tofu with BBQ Sauce again.
  9. Use cooking spray to oil the grill grates well, then place the tofu on the grill.
  10. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until well-charred.
  11. Brush with more BBQ Sauce before serving.
