Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups plain Cheerios
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 2 cups Easter M&M’s
  • 1-2 cups peanuts, salted or unsalted
  • 1 24-ounce package white almond bark

Equipment

  • Chef's Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, M&M’s, and peanuts and mix well.
  2. Break almond bark into pieces and melt in a medium pot over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. To melt the bark in the microwave, chop it into smaller pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.
  4. Pour melted bark over cereal mixture and mix well.
  5. Spread out onto wax paper or a parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Let set for 1 hour, then break into pieces to serve.

Notes

  • The bigger the mixing bowl: the easier it is to coat everything evenly.
  • To melt the bark in the microwave: chop it into smaller pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Using almond bark: is preferred, but you can use white chocolate chips. Check out our How to Melt Chocolate post for tips.
  • If you add other mix-ins: use ones that are similar in size, and be sure the ratio of snack mix to the candy coating is balanced so everything gets coated.
  • We love to double the recipe: and deliver this easy-to-make treat to neighbors.
