Ingredients

  • 1 ball Burrata
  • 3 Large tomatoes
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 handful Basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • Kosher salt
  • Fresh cracked pepper

Equipment

  • Morton Kosher Salt
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Method

  1. Place burrata ball in the middle of a platter and arrange tomato slices and basil leaves around the cheese.
  2. Drizzle everything with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You don’t want to drown the salad in dressing just enough to moisten everything and bring in flavor.
  3. Sprinkle on Kosher salt and black pepper.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. However, it's best enjoyed fresh on the day it's made.
  • Freezing: This salad is not suitable for freezing due to the fresh ingredients, especially burrata.
  • Pairing: Serve with crusty bread or a light white wine for an ideal combination.
  • Variations: Try adding roasted peppers or a sprinkle of nuts for an extra crunch.
  • Presentation: For a more formal presentation, slice the burrata and fan it out over the plate.
