  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, add 2 tablespoons olive oil and heat it over medium-high. Once hot, gently place 4 chicken breasts into the skillet. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown and are no longer pink in the center. This step is crucial for developing a nice crust.
  2. Once cooked, remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate. This allows you to prepare the sauce in the same skillet, which is packed with flavors from the chicken.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced 3 garlic cloves and sauté them for about 30 seconds, until they become fragrant. Be careful not to burn them, as burnt garlic can turn bitter.
  4. Pour in 1 cup heavy cream, ½ cup chicken broth, the juice from one lemon, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and ½ cup grated parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and create a creamy sauce.
  5. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water until smooth. This will serve as your thickening agent.
  6. Whisk the cornstarch slurry into the sauce and let it simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes over medium-high heat. You’ll notice the sauce starts to thicken, becoming rich and luscious.
