Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup organic ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2-3 tablespoons chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped herbs (scallions/cilantro)

Method
 

  1. 1. In the bowl of your slow cooker, add the chicken and garlic.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix the tamari, ketchup, honey, chili paste, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Pour the honey sauce over the chicken.
  3. 3. Add the broccoli. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1-2 hours.
  4. 4. Crank the heat on the slow cooker to high. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 25 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  5. 5. Serve the chicken, broccoli, and sauce over bowls of rice topped with fresh herbs and toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy!
