Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 24 ounces raw almonds
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Place butter on a large baking sheet and melt it in the oven.
  3. Once melted, remove the baking sheet from the oven and set it aside.
  4. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and sea salt.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, whisk egg whites with vanilla extract until frothy.
  6. Add raw almonds to the frothy mixture and toss to coat.
  7. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the coated almonds and stir again.
  8. Spread the coated almonds onto the buttered baking sheet.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 20 minutes, for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for at least 15 minutes before serving.
  11. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
