Method
- Cut off tough ends of asparagus and discard.
- Heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Toss asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Grill for 5 minutes, or until tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, soy sauce, SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend, and wasabi paste.
- If desired, squeeze fresh lemon juice over grilled asparagus.
Notes
- Storage: Store any leftover asparagus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently on the grill or in a pan to maintain its flavor.
- Freezing: While it's best fresh, you can blanch the asparagus and freeze it for later use. Thaw before grilling.
- Pairing: This dish pairs beautifully with grilled salmon or chicken, adding a light and refreshing element to your meal.
- Presentation: For a stunning presentation, drizzle a bit of the dipping sauce over the asparagus before serving.
- Experiment: Don’t be afraid to experiment with other dipping sauces. A tangy vinaigrette can also complement the grilled asparagus.
