Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Italian dressing
  • ¼ cup Dale’s Steak Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Greek seasoning
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 pound beef tenderloin, cubed
  • 2 green bell peppers, cut into large wedges
  • 1 large onion, cut into large wedges
  • 16 oz white mushrooms, stems removed
  • bamboo skewers

Equipment

  • Bamboo Skewers
  • Charcoal Chimney Starter
  • Grilling tongs

Method

  1. Start by combining the Italian dressing, Dale’s Steak Sauce, Greek seasoning, onion powder, and black pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. This mixture serves as your marinade, so make sure to mix it well. The aroma is fantastic and will have your taste buds tingling!
  2. Next, add the green bell peppers, onion wedges, white mushrooms, and beef tenderloin into the bag with the marinade. Seal the bag tightly, ensuring that all the ingredients are coated well. This is where the magic happens—marinate in the refrigerator for at least four hours, or even overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. About thirty minutes before you plan to grill, soak your bamboo skewers in water. This step is crucial as it prevents the skewers from burning on the grill, ensuring that your kabobs turn out perfectly.
  4. Once your skewers are soaked, discard the marinade and start threading the beef and vegetables onto the skewers. Leave a small space between each piece to allow for even cooking and to ensure they grill properly.
  5. Now it’s time to prepare your grill. Preheat it to a medium-high setting, ensuring it’s hot enough to sear the beef and create those beautiful grill marks.
  6. Once your grill is hot, place the skewers on it carefully. Grill them for approximately ten minutes, turning them as needed. You’ll want to watch for the beef to be cooked through and the vegetables to become tender, which adds a nice char and flavor.
  7. After grilling, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This step allows juices to redistribute, making your beef even juicier!
  8. Now, it’s time to serve your Grilled Beef Steak Kabobs. You can enjoy them as is or pair them with your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor.
  9. Savor each bite and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and textures.

Notes

  • Soak skewers: Always soak your bamboo skewers for at least thirty minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.
  • Cut of beef: Feel free to use any cut of steak you prefer, such as filet, NY Strip, or ribeye.
  • Cooking without a grill: If you can’t grill, place kabobs on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 450ºF for eight to ten minutes.
  • Flavor tips: You can enhance the marinade with additional spices or try different dipping sauces.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
