Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Orzo
  • 1/2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Chef's Knife
  • Frying Pan
  • Wooden Spoon

Method

  1. 1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium to high heat. Add the orzo and sauté, stirring frequently, until it turns a light golden brown. This should take about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. 2. Stir in the chicken broth, water, lemon juice, rosemary, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the saucepan.
  3. 3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the orzo is tender.
  4. 4. After cooking, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. This allows the orzo to finish cooking and absorb any remaining flavors.
  5. 5. Fluff the orzo with a fork, garnish with additional rosemary if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy your delightful Orzo with Lemon and Rosemary!
