Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups frozen peach slices
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cups frozen raspberries

Equipment

  • Chef's Knife
  • Blender
  • Frying Pan

Method

  1. 1. Start by preparing your blender. Add 3 to 4 cups of frozen peach slices to the blender, along with 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup of orange juice, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Blend everything until it's smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well mixed. The color should be a beautiful peach hue, and it should have a thick, creamy consistency.
  2. 2. Once you have a smooth mixture, carefully spoon it into a bowl and place it in the freezer. This will keep it cool while you prepare the next flavor.
  3. 3. Now, rinse the blender so you can prepare the raspberries. Add 4 cups of frozen raspberries to the blender along with another 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup of orange juice, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy, just like the peach mixture. You should see a vibrant red color, indicating that the raspberries have been well blended.
  4. 4. Now it’s time to build your sherbet! Grab a 9×5 inch loaf pan and start scooping alternating spoonfuls of the peach and raspberry mixtures into the pan. Let your creativity shine here—there's no right or wrong way to do this!
  5. 5. Once you’ve added both flavors into the pan, take a spoon and gently swirl them together. You want to create beautiful marbling without completely blending the two. Just a few strokes should do the trick!
  6. 6. Cover the pan with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the freezer. Let it freeze until firm, which will take at least 6 hours. You could even make this the day before for an easy dessert!
  7. 7. When you're ready to enjoy your Raspberry Peach Sherbet, remove it from the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes to soften slightly. This will make scooping easier!
  8. 8. Scoop into bowls or cones and serve immediately. You can even garnish with fresh fruit or mint leaves for an extra touch!
  9. 9. Don’t forget to enjoy the fruits of your labor, and watch as your friends and family rave about your homemade dessert!

Notes

  • Storage: To keep leftovers fresh, store them in an airtight container. Allow the sherbet to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping to make serving easier.
  • Freezing: Can you freeze this? Absolutely! It keeps well in the freezer for several weeks, but for the best flavor, try to consume it within a month.
  • Pairing: This sherbet pairs beautifully with a slice of lemon pound cake or fresh fruit salad for an elegant dessert.
  • Flavor Variations: Feel free to experiment with other fruits like mango or blackberries for a unique twist on this classic recipe!
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve in a chilled bowl or cone for an extra refreshing treat on a hot day.
