Ingredients

  • 1 Hummus
  • 2 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Mozzarella Pearls
  • 1 Cauliflower
  • 1 Cherry Tomato
  • 2 15-ounce cans Black Olives
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 cup Sugar Snap Peas
  • to taste Crackers
  • 2 Celery Stalks

Equipment

  • Chef's Knife

Method

  1. Start by gathering everything you need. Make sure you have a large rectangular board where you can create your masterpiece. It’s best to choose a board that allows enough space for all the colorful ingredients.
  2. Spread hummus on a 6-inch plate and place that in the center of your board. This will serve as the base of Santa's face.
  3. Next, take the thinly sliced red bell peppers and begin arranging them atop the hummus. These will form Santa's hat, so place them to create a pointed top.
  4. Now, add mozzarella pearls around the hat and on top of the hummus to replicate the fluffy trim of Santa's hat.
  5. For Santa's beard, take the cauliflower florets and start shaping them around the plate, ensuring to cover the bottom half of the hummus.
  6. Add a strip of bell pepper under the hummus to form Santa's lips. Then, place the cherry tomato in the center for the nose, and use the black olives for the eyes on either side of the nose.
  7. For the eyebrows and mustache, break small pieces of cauliflower and place them appropriately above the olives. This adds character to your Santa!
  8. Fill in the sides of the board with sliced cucumbers and create arms using bell pepper sticks. Add more black olives for the ends of the arms.
  9. Finally, fill in the remaining spaces on the board with small mozzarella pearls, sugar snap peas, crackers, and slices of celery. This adds color and variety to your tray.
