Pour about 1 inch of water into a large saucepan. Place a collapsible steamer basket in the pan, ensuring that it doesn’t touch the water. Bring to a boil.
While waiting for the water to boil, rinse your green beans under cold water and trim the ends.
Once the water is boiling, lay the trimmed green beans in the steamer basket. Cover and steam for about 7 to 12 minutes.
Carefully remove the steamer basket from the saucepan and let any excess water drip off.
Transfer the steamed green beans to a serving platter, season with sea salt, and drizzle with browned butter.
